rEplying to your comment from a few days ago….
I’ve done co-ops before for various things and had mixed success. If you are going to try to wait until there are enough people to get a full “lot” of one thing invariably someone will drop out at the last minute leaving you either keeping everyone else waiting even longer (at which point at least 1 more person will stomp off in a huff) or picking up the slack yourself. I ran several co-ops to get my stock levels up when I first started (it got round the minimum order being too high for my initial budget!) so picking up the slack wasn’t a trauma although i still have half a pack of Recovery Remedy on the shelf…. but if you aren’t planning on running an on-line yarn shop any time soon it could get to be a right pain in the bum.
However, if you are planning on running a co-op for nice bright colours of chunky yarn suitable for small children learning to knit I’m in!

Was thinking about Hawkins actually - set up a trade account with their supplier a while back, but have never used it. Educational supplies, chrissie pressies anyone ?
