Grrr, napster…..

December 2, 2005

I downloaded Napster lite ages ago, sometimes I like to buy music from them, it’s cheaper than a CD usually and they have a good choice (usually)

But today I wanted to open and copy off some tracks from an OU CD so taht I can just have the selection I need to listen to without having to faff about with skipping tracks etc. So I open it adn hey presto, they all have ***** Napster logos against them, if I tried to open them napster opened and it all went down hill from there!

Grrr, I thought QuickTime was bad, Napster has just knocked it off top spot for interfering, overbearing software of the month.

Off to sulk over a cup of cocoa (oh the exciting life I lead)

sort of busy

doing nothing……

Becca wanted to go out today to finish the Christmas shopping and to get some new wellies as hers are too small now. Somehow that took us from 10am til nearly 3pm. I have no idea how, we only have 3 bags to show for it!

We had 2 chapters of Last Battle today, the cat goes into the shed and comes out scared wittless, the dwarves get nasty and the battle really starts.

She listened to the Jesse tree reading today but didn’t want to do the colouring. This was mainly because she had just “messed up” a colour by numbers and was feeling not very arty…. looked fine to me but aparently not. Mind you, this meant I got to do the colouring (yipeeee!!)

I’m behind on my Spanish course (again) and beginning to think I need to really sit down and plan properly how this is going to work before I foul it up totally. I’m struggling to remember the vocab, well, I can understand it but not recall it, and I think I’m just feeling a bit “huh, waht on earth possessed me to think I could do this…”

Next door’s first visit of the day…

her new roof leaks….

yup, that would be because it’s not finished then would it? and it has rained non stop for about 12 hours…..

I need a new catagory - “bitchy blog”….

RAinbows

Becca is nearly big enough for Rainbows now and I would love her to join. Trouble is there is no Rainbows locally, hte nearest group is half an hour’s drive and has a waiting list. Our church used to have Rainbows but once the mums who ran it no longer had Rainbow sized girls they dropped it in favour of girls football

The local Beavers will take girls and has 1 little girl joining soon but they aren’t supposed to start until they are 6 which is a whole year to wait

So, I can wait a year for her to join Beavers (which has more badges etc than Rainbows - did I mention she likes badges??) or I can trail her over to the nearest pack of Rainbows assuming she can get on the waiting list (because of course the locals get the kid’s names down very early) or I can ignore the fact taht I am far too busy already, pretend i don’t need 5 hours a week to do my Spanish course plus time to educate small child and offer to start a group.

Or (whispers) she cna join the St John Badgers, which will result in me being sulked at, teased mercilessly and generally made to suffer cos the Red Cross and St J’s are “rivals”……..

Any ideas????
