tried to tidy up and failed
got wobbly explaining to Becca taht Susan wasn’t a friend of Narnia anymore so would be all alone in the world now her brothers, sister and parents were in the train crash and gone on to Aslan’s country.

Narnia is gone, the children are in Aslan’s country (with the exception of Susan who is “no longer a friend of Narnia”) and I’m left feeling a little sad that our adventure is over for the year. We will visit Narnia again, maybe next time with the “Further up and Further in” study guide but that magical first reading is complete, we have followed our friends home to the Garden. You have shaken with “fear” and lept with excitement, fallen in love with both Narnia and Aslan, been enthralled by a magical story and carried that magic into your play, Aslan and Reepicheep often accompanying you about your day, you have listened to longer chapters and harder language than every before, grown so very, very much and come to the end of it declaring “when I can read i can choose how much to read in one go and I can read them again and again can’t I mummy” Yes, my sweet baby, you can, and you almost certainly will. If I succeed with nothing else, I want to succeed at instilling a love of reading into you my precious one. So many doors will be open to so many worlds with that key my love. But just for now, allow me to unlock those doors and walk those paths with you.

Okay, these may not light everyone’s fire but Becca likes “puzzles” and these are Christmassy puzzles/worksheets so someone else may like them too….
