Pondering….

I think I’m going to move again! Blogsome was perfect when I first wandered over here but the last few weeks it’s been timing out all over the place and it appears I’m not the only one finding this. I’m investigating a few options and will link to the new one once I’ve found my perfect match (for this month….)

Shame really as I do like it here but after an all time record of over 20 attempts to publish a 4 line entry I’m getting a bit bored with it!

So taht’s Blogger - just too darned unreliable, no cute tools, no passwording and spam-r-us
Blogigo - cute smilies, easy to use but had a pause for thought every Friday evening and no passwording/comment moderation etc
Blogsome - no cute smilies, not all that handy for fancy formatting but still, good security, nice to be able to do pages (will copy them over to new one) and all that

Where next????

My free space doesn’t have the required fancy bits for WordPress and anyway I’m a wuss
I didn’t much like LIve Journal
Aparently Yahoo do something but do I trust Yahoo?????

Eye Sites….

in the midst of a neurotic mother moment here re Becca’s lazy eye and the fact taht 9 months after the optician said she would get refered to teh hospital for possible patching etc still no news. Found quite a bit of info on the net that made me very cross that she’s BS-ed us about probably only needing specs for 6 months and then all done (no where can I find anyone saying lazy eyes get their act together that fast!) also found quite a bit that said sort it or it could be serious and a lot taht said ultimately it’s gonna be patches.

So, some links to things like funky patches, eye excercises etc so taht I don’t lose them all again!!!

Anissa’s fun patches - shipping to the UK $2 for 4 patches

The Eye Patch Club - loads of info on things to do to make the eye work whilst the patch is on, suggestions for coercing child into having the patch etc, link for the “club” however seems down so no idea about that side of it!

Those weird magic pictures taht I can’t see…. supposed to be good for making eyes work together.

Eye Trainers
- had a pair of these years ago and they did a remarkable job of stoping my eyes being tired all the time. They are supposed to be good for making eyes work too

Yoga for eyes - used to do these, cured the headaches I got at school most of the time, just seem to have forgotten about them since….

Eye focusing excercises
- worth a try for those of us who look at the PC too much????

Okay, enough already! Now to get hold of the HV and ask if she can refer us to the hosp as the optician doesn’t seem to be able to perform that feat and we’ve effectively “wasted” 9 months already…..
