waving at Helen P…

December 29, 2005

I’ve lost your e-mail and I need to tell you how to get to teh new blog!

I’m sorry but

December 27, 2005

how stupid do you think I am. I shall, once again, refrain from naming you. You know who you are.

Making comments under a different name here is just not going to work. I am not completely thick, the spelling and phrasing sort of give you away and my moderation is set so that unless I know you, the comment WILL NOT GET THROUGH. Incidentally, seeing as most people I know use Firefox the “advice” was no use either.

Threatening me with “I have your phone number” is not going to work. Well, actually it will. Because threatening me overtly like that is something I can take to the police. Making the phone call would then be teh icing on the cake as it would mean I could ask the police to take it further. They take a dim view of threatening phonecalls you know.

Threatening to mail me incessantly is not going to work. I will save them all up as evidence of your continued harrassment. Wind me up far enough and I will publish the lot for everyone to laugh at.

You say (and I copy directly from your e-mail here…) “i will never stop all i have too say today one day you will get it through your thibk head….” Well, my head my well be thick, I don’t doubt you have the higher qualification level than me, but if you recall I have already publically said that I cannot prove who made the original comments, I never actually accused you of that. You have however harrassed me incessantly since my statement that SOMEONE made comments. I will not apologise to you for accusations that I did not make. I will not apologise for saying that you are now harrassing me becuase this is something I can prove merely by producing the evidence of e-mails that you have sent to me. You were a customer who I humoured whilst I was running a business as it’s one of those things you have to do “the customer is always right” and all that. I no longer run the business, have no intention of re-starting teh business and have not got time to waste on people who are neither friend nor family.

pop up blockers?

December 25, 2005

have found good webspace but it comes with pop ups so I was wondering if anyone can recommend some good pop up (and pop behind) blocking software that I can link to on the new blog for other people to use to make my new blog (when it happens) a bit less pop uppy….

Did that make any sense what so ever??? No? what’s new then?

It’s CHRIIIIIIIST MAAAAAAAS!!!!

She’s wearing new dress, new body warmer, new Dora watch, new socks that are waaaay too big (to be fair to mum who bought them the sizing info is miniscule, they would fit me but hey, she’s a growin gal!), she’s sat in her wardrobe (where else) doing a jigsaw. She’s happy. We are off to MILs soon for eating far too much. my last blog only took 5 minutes to publish  All is right with the world…..

oh do keep up…

gave up trying to blog last night as Blogsome is being a right royal pain again. It was a lovely blog too….. Lets see if the lack of Christmas day traffic will make this one speed through any faster!

Have resigned myself to the inevitablility of free webspace and downloading WordPress to get round the current blogging pains unless of course someone can recommend a blog that

isn’t Blogger cos I can’t moderate comments (and I need to) and Blogger drove me potty with crashing and losing posts

isn’t Blogigo
cos I can’t moderate and because all kinds of strange (and some very lovely) people used to wander in and leave comments there (mind you I took a sort of pride in being one of teh top 10 bloggers there….)

isn’t the WordPress own site as you can’t modify the theme to add the ring code in (what’s all that about then???)

isn’t Live Journal cos although I’ve never used it properly (had to join to comment on a freind’s blog) I just don’t really get on with it all that well….

is free

is idiot proof

will allow me to add ring code, flickr badge and protect posts taht I want to share with FRIENDS and not the whole world

Don’t want much do I??????

B***er!

December 24, 2005

Thought I’d found the perfect new blog host…. better than here, faster, easier to use…. but I can’t put the ring code as you have zero access to the code. Off on another hunt then (sorry Jax, was really hoping the one I pointed you to was going to be fine until I went to paste in the ring code….)

B-ger!

Pondering….

December 23, 2005

I think I’m going to move again! Blogsome was perfect when I first wandered over here but the last few weeks it’s been timing out all over the place and it appears I’m not the only one finding this. I’m investigating a few options and will link to the new one once I’ve found my perfect match (for this month….)

Shame really as I do like it here but after an all time record of over 20 attempts to publish a 4 line entry I’m getting a bit bored with it!

So taht’s Blogger - just too darned unreliable, no cute tools, no passwording and spam-r-us
Blogigo - cute smilies, easy to use but had a pause for thought every Friday evening and no passwording/comment moderation etc
Blogsome - no cute smilies, not all that handy for fancy formatting but still, good security, nice to be able to do pages (will copy them over to new one) and all that

Where next????

My free space doesn’t have the required fancy bits for WordPress and anyway I’m a wuss
I didn’t much like LIve Journal
Aparently Yahoo do something but do I trust Yahoo?????

Eye Sites….

in the midst of a neurotic mother moment here re Becca’s lazy eye and the fact taht 9 months after the optician said she would get refered to teh hospital for possible patching etc still no news. Found quite a bit of info on the net that made me very cross that she’s BS-ed us about probably only needing specs for 6 months and then all done (no where can I find anyone saying lazy eyes get their act together that fast!) also found quite a bit that said sort it or it could be serious and a lot taht said ultimately it’s gonna be patches.

So, some links to things like funky patches, eye excercises etc so taht I don’t lose them all again!!!

Anissa’s fun patches - shipping to the UK $2 for 4 patches

The Eye Patch Club - loads of info on things to do to make the eye work whilst the patch is on, suggestions for coercing child into having the patch etc, link for the “club” however seems down so no idea about that side of it!

Those weird magic pictures taht I can’t see…. supposed to be good for making eyes work together.

Eye Trainers
- had a pair of these years ago and they did a remarkable job of stoping my eyes being tired all the time. They are supposed to be good for making eyes work too

Yoga for eyes - used to do these, cured the headaches I got at school most of the time, just seem to have forgotten about them since….

Eye focusing excercises
- worth a try for those of us who look at the PC too much????

Okay, enough already! Now to get hold of the HV and ask if she can refer us to the hosp as the optician doesn’t seem to be able to perform that feat and we’ve effectively “wasted” 9 months already…..

a special twinkle award nomination perhaps?

or just a “you are a sad person with too much time” award….
