in no particular order here are just a few of the reasons we feel Becca will get a better deal at home....
1 - Reported on BBC Radio 2 - A school has adopted Nike sportswear as it's PE kit. The full kit costs just shy of £70 per child and is only available via the school. Those who can't afford this will be given the option to pay for it over 3 months or stay with the "old" kit. They claim this will help promote sport within the school and make the children proud to turn up for sport.
My comment - So it's £70 per child and hope they don't grow out of it too fast or have your kid labeled as a saddo who doesn't wear the "cool" kit. What a wonderful example to set to our kids! I'm not sure I want to add to the peer pressure your average child is under by having to chose between designer gear or something a little less pricy for that half hour PE lesson.... and that's before I get onto Nike's child labour reputation!
